First Seal: The White Horse

The Lord Jesus: A bow, crown, conquering and to conquer.

Rev. 3:21, 5:5, 19:11-16, Psalm 45.

Second Seal: The Red Horse

Slaughter (religious persecution): Granted to take peace from the earth, men to slay one another, a great

sword.

Rev. 5:12, 6:9, 13:8, 18:24, Matt. 10:34, John 16:33

 

Third Seal: The Black Horse

Economic injustice: A pair of scales in hand, expensive food. A day’s wage for a day’s food.

Matt. 20:2, Rev. 13:17, I Cor. 1:26, II Cor. 11:27

Fourth Seal: The Pale Horse

Woes common to Humanity: Death followed by Hell. Authority over ¼ of the earth to kill with Sword, Famine, Pestilence, and Wild Beasts.

Ezk. 14:21, Rev. 2:16, 19:21, II Ki. 17:25

Fifth Seal: Souls Under the Altar

Souls of those slain because of word and testimony

- Lv 4:7, 17:11

They cry, "How long?"

- Lk 18:7, Lk 11:49-51

White robes given to them

- Rev 19:8

Rest a while until their number is completed

- Is 57:1,2

Sixth Seal: The Great Earthquake

Great Earthquake – Final Judgement

- Rev 11:13,16:18ff

Sun black as sackcloth of hair and Moon like blood

- Acts 2:20, Mt 24:29

Stars Fall to the earth

– Psalm 68:8

Sky split apart like a scroll

Every Mountain and Island moved

– Psalm 46, Jer 4:24, Psalm 97

Affects rich and poor alike

Hide from the Face
