Subject: Skylar is back home!

Dear Family,

Thanks for your prayers. Skylar was able to return home today in the early afternoon. He called me (with Nana's help) at work, and left a message! His fever has stayed down, and his immune counts have continued to rise. He must still receive daily shots (which he hates!) until his white blood cell count reaches an appropriate level.

I spoke with his older brother Chris this evening, and then with Skylar. He sounds spunky, although Pam reminded me later that sounds and appearances can be misleading - she says that people not in perfect health have been tending to "drop by" the apartment in spite of warnings about the danger to Skylar from every possible source of infection.

Pam plans to stay to help with Skylar's next GSF injection in the morning. Then she will watch Skylar while Suzanne goes grocery shopping. Pam plans to leave for home sometime tomorrow afternoon.

I told Suzanne that many of you had asked about her well being, and she asked me to convey her thanks to you.

I again thank you all for your love and prayers. In about ten days Skylar must return to Stanford for the next 5-day chemotherapy treatment. I will keep you informed.

In Christ,

-"Papa" Dann
