Subject: Specific answers to prayer for Skylar

Dear Family,

Just a brief note this time to report some specific answers to prayers. :)

I am writing this Sunday evening just before time for us to gather together. Many of you asked me this morning how Skylar was doing, and I was able to report some good news received yesterday. When I spoke to Suzanne yesterday, she told me that Skye's temperature had been below 100 all day. (As a prerequisite to being released from the hospital in San Luis Obispo, his temperature must remain low for 72 hours). That was one answer to prayer.

Additional good news was that the blood counts ( data which informs us about his immune system function) had risen, which is very good and another specific answer to prayer. These counts represent factors that enable Skylar's body to fight off infection. Thank the Lord!

I just called the hospital room a few minutes ago and spoke with Pam. She says that Skylar's temperature has remained low all day today as well, and that Dr. Macias says that if Skye's temperature remains low tomorrow, he will be allowed to go home tomorrow (Monday) night.

Thank the Lord with me for His kindness!

Of course, if Skylar gets to go home, that also means that Nana (Pam) gets to come home too! If Skye goes home tomorrow evening, Pam plans to return home on Tuesday, God willing. She sends her greetings to all of you.

Thank you for your continuing prayers, expressions of concern, and support. May the Lord bless you all for the love that you express to our family.

Love in the Lord,

-Dann
