July 31, 2000 Dear Family, I have a special burden and request regarding Skylar today, and I am contacting you to ask for specific prayer. "Then God said, ""Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food''; and it was so. God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good." - Genesis 1:29-31 I've prepared a detailed presentation of a proposed plan to enhance Skylar's nutrition. This morning Pam will put that into a priority mail package and send it to Dr. Macias, Skylar's pediatrician. Please ask that the Lord might grant this plan favor in the eyes of Dr. Macias. If the doctor approves the plan, I will be able to feed Skylar with the fresh juices of the vegetables that God has created and given us for food, rather than a man-made canned formula. I also want to share with you my meditation and prayer of this morning. It is a prayer for the Lord Jesus to return and rescue us all from this fearful place: Isaiah 63:11 - 64:4 "Then His people remembered the days of old, of Moses. Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit in the midst of them, Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, Who divided the waters before them to make for Himself an everlasting name, Who led them through the depths? Like the horse in the wilderness, they did not stumble; As the cattle which go down into the valley, The Spirit of the LORD gave them rest. So You led Your people, To make for Yourself a glorious name. Look down from heaven and see from Your holy and glorious habitation; Where are Your zeal and Your mighty deeds? The stirrings of Your heart and Your compassion are restrained toward me. For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know And Israel does not recognize us. You, O LORD, are our Father, Our Redeemer from of old is Your name. Why, O LORD, do You cause us to stray from Your ways And harden our heart from fearing You? Return for the sake of Your servants, the tribes of Your heritage. Your holy people possessed Your sanctuary for a little while, Our adversaries have trodden it down. We have become like those over whom You have never ruled, Like those who were not called by Your name. Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, That the mountains might quake at Your presence As fire kindles the brushwood, as fire causes water to boil To make Your name known to Your adversaries, That the nations may tremble at Your presence! When You did awesome things which we did not expect, You came down, the mountains quaked at Your presence. For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, Nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him." My trust is in this God, the One "Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him." I wait for Him and for His word to be fulfilled. Thank you for joining with me in prayer. In Him, -Dann
