Dear Family,

Just a short note with a praise and some prayer requests.

We praise God that Skylar is home from the local hospital. He seems
to have recovered from the pneumonia to a great degree; his "shoulder
pain" (referred pain from the pneumonia) is infrequent or gone. He had
a doctor checkup on Monday and the doctor said his lungs sound clear.

"The Lord sustains all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down."
- Psalm 145:14 Thank You, Lord, for again raising Skylar from his bed
of affliction. "I will extol Thee, my God, O King; And I will bless Thy
name forever and ever." - Psalm 145:1

However, we have learned that Skylar has pulmonary edema; that is,
fluid or blood collecting in his lungs. Also, due to the pneumonia they
have had to increase his oxygen flow from 1/2 lpm to 1-1/2 lpm. Furthermore,
Skylar's pediatrician is talking about having a feeding tube inserted through
Skylar's stomach wall - for reasons nobody understands.

Also, Skylar is being fed mostly sugar water (Pediasure) through his feeding
tube.

It is a complete mystery to me how supposedly knowledgeable medical
professionals can be so ignorant about the importance of good nutrition.
Even a casual search of the literature will bring up countless references
to the connection between refined sugar and various kinds of cancer.

I am deeply burdened for Skylar and have been working and planning
feverishly to replace the canned "food" he is receiving with fresh raw
vegetable juices, food of God's creation given to us as our food.

"Then God said, 'Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed
that is on the face of the earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of
a tree yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to every beast of the
earth and to every bird of the heavens and to every thing that creeps on
the earth in which is a living soul, I have given every green plant for
food'; and it was so." - Genesis 1:29,30

I believe that feeding Skylar food from God's provision would be very
beneficial to his health and well being. Suzanne has nominally agreed
to let me try this; however, she is delaying the start of this. Please
plead with our Sovereign Lord -- to Whom "The king's heart is like
channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever
He wishes." (Proverbs 21:1) -- to help Suzanne look on my plans with
favor and to soon allow me to feed Skylar with a better food than that
he is presently receiving.

"The eyes of all look to Thee, and Thou dost give them their food in due
time. Thou dost open Thy hand and satisfy the desire of every living
thing." - Psalm 145:15,16

I thank my God for all of you who have been reading these messages
and pleas for prayer and who have loved Skylar and us with your prayers
and words of encouragement.
