Dear Family,

Skylar had a bad night last night, and they have had to turn up
his ventilator settings again.

Pam was well enough to come to the hospital today, but we are very
distressed by these setbacks.

At times I wonder about the things that I share with you... maybe
too much sometimes, I think.  I just pray that if it is too much
the Lord will overlook my verbosity.

This morning I was reading in the gospel of Luke about how the Lord
Jesus saw a widow and her son who had died, and He had compassion and
raised the son.  I also read about the centurion of faith who sent
the elders of the synagogue to ask Jesus to heal his beloved servant.
The elders of the synagogue told Jesus that the centurion was worthy
of His aid - and then on the way there, other messengers from the
centurion brought his own words - "I am not worthy for you to come to
me - but only speak the word".

Father, I know that I am not worthy of the least of your favor - yet I
know that if You would only speak the word, Skylar will be delivered. I
ask you, Lord, to please have compassion on us even as you had compassion
on the widow of old - and others.  Please help us to trust only in You.
