March 26, 2000 Dear Family, Pam and I arrived in Redwood City last night around 9:30 PM. We are staying in the Goodnite Inn there. The management of the inn have been very kind to us. I am very grateful to the Lord for their kindness, especially during the times when I have not been able to be there and Pam has stayed there alone. The man who is perhaps the owner? or at least general manager? of the inn is named Kozi - please pray for him and his family. He has a two-month old daughter that is very dear to him. More than once when we have spoken to him about Skylar, he has had tears in his eyes. Please ask that the Lord will truly bless Kozi and his family with the true riches, a genuine knowlege of and trust in the Lord Jesus. Pam has stayed at home in the hotel today because she is a little under the weather with a cold. Please ask God for speedy strength and recovery. I know she wants to be here with Skylar now. Skylar's condition has changed very little since my last report. His oxygen settings are down somewhat, but we don't know how significant that may be. It is so hard to see him like this. Today so far I have sung several songs for him, and have talked to him and prayed with him and for him. I ask myself why I plead for his life - and I think it must be more for our own sake than Skylar's. He has had such suffering in the few years God has given him. Yet he has brought such joy and gladness to my heart and to the hearts of all who know him. Skylar is my most prized treasure. People, don't listen to the wisdom of the world. Children are your true riches, your true wealth. I long ago and to my sorrow bought into the worldly lie of "zero population growth". What a deception! You who are still able, seek from the Lord the blessing of children and of grandchildren! Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth with a people for His praise and glory! And as you think of us, please beseech the Lord of all with me on behalf of my precious grandson, that He may yet in His lovingkindness spare Skylar's life. Thank you for listening, -Dann (and Pam)
