February 8, 2000 I received the following letter today, and I'm forwarding it to the GBC family list to keep everyone updated on Skylar's progress. The following has been edited for this list: --------------------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone, A little news.. Skylar had a good day yesterday - he got up and walking several times, and in between I told him stories and sang him songs, and we had a good time together. The hospital parking lot was full today, so I dropped Pam off and had to park far away across the street. Today Skye has been up and walking even further, but he seems to have more pain today. Skye and Pam and I played baseball today in the big area of a hall on the third floor. I also walked him over to a hallway where there are 1-foot square floor tiles. I had paced off 128 of them, and showed him how long the flying house is. I've been telling him the flying house stories. The pain meds may be reacting and so he has gone back to bed with a bad headache. I was thankful that he finally fell asleep for a while, and I hope he will be feeling better when he wakes up. Pam and I are still expecting to leave today, and it is always hard to leave him behind especially when he is not feeling well. - Dann McCreary -------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you so very much for your continued prayers and concerns for Skylar and our family. - Chris McCreary
