The idea for this jewelery box came to me when I found a special treasure in a rock shop.
I bought the treasure, which was to become the lid of the box.

Later on, while travelling through Vermont, I found a section of walnut tree trunk under
a staircase in a barn.

I hacked out the rough shape using a skill saw and then later augered out the interior on
a drill press.  The rest was done painstakingly with carving knives.
